Korean young guitarist Baek-yeong Kim has played various instruments since childhood, such as the piano, cello, and guitar.

Above all, he fell in love with the guitar and has been studying relentlessly. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in guitar at the Seokyeong University in Seoul under the tutelage of Prof. Chang.

He has won awards in several contests. He was awarded the 1st prize at the Han-um Music Competition, The Music Association of Busan Competition, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra Competition, Seoul Baroque Ensemble Competition, The Music Association of Korea Student Competition, and The Music Association of Korea Competition, each of which demonstrated his exceptional skills.
From his first concert with Seokyeong String Orchestra at the Seoul Arts Center, He has performed in various platforms, including The Seoul Arts Center's ‘Artist Lounge’, ‘Guitar is a Small Orchestra’ with Chang, The Music Education News ‘Young Artist Concert’, and a concert with Gunpo Prime Philharmonic Orchestra.

He will be appointed as professor of Chamber Music of Seokyeong University in Seoul in September 2022, and his guitar solo recital will be held at the Seoul Arts Center in November 2022.
