The Krishnarpan Duo formed in 2009 after the chance meeting of bamboo flutist Sunil Pariyar and guitarist Daniel Linden in a tea shop in Bhaktapur, Nepal.
After discovering their musical chemistry, the two artists began collaborating in styles ranging from classical to folk, reinterpreting repertoire and creating original music influenced by both eastern and western traditions.
The duo has appeared in concert in Nepal and India, including the Kathmandu International Classical Guitar Festival 2013, and has performed live on national television in Nepal. Their unique sound results from both their instrumentation, combining bamboo flute and nylon string guitar in innovative, unexplored ways, and from the varied influences and experiences of the individual artists.
